Sponsorship Terms for Cheltenham Open Data Categories

Plain-English terms for sponsoring Cheltenham Open Data. If anything’s unclear, just ask via the contact form.

What You Get

Category sponsorship — £100/month founding rate. One “supported by” card — your logo, a short line about your business, and a link — appearing on every page in your chosen category. You’re the only sponsor of your kind in that category. Once the founding places for a category are taken, new sponsors pay the standard rate.
Principal Sponsor — £250/month. Primary position on the site’s busiest page, the homepage. One slot only.
Either tier includes optional editorial: write your own post in your own words (I have editorial rights to edit) published permanently as a site announcement, which you’re free to share on our socials — or, if you’d rather keep it simple, I’ll write you a short thank-you post instead.
No more than one sponsor card appears on any one page.
Your link is marked rel="sponsored", in line with Google’s guidance.

Prices are per calendar month, paid in advance by card through Stripe.
There is a minimum term of three months from your start date.
After the minimum term, sponsorship continues month to month until you cancel.
No VAT is charged.
Founding rate: if you join a category on its founding rate, that price is held for 12 months from your start date.

You can cancel any time after the three-month minimum — through the Stripe billing portal (linked on your receipts) or by emailing me.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid month; your card stays live until then.
Payments already made are not refunded for part-months.

You provide your logo and a short line of copy; I’ll help size and format it.
I approve all content before it goes live, and may ask for changes.
Sponsors must be a genuine, lawful business relevant to local readers. I may decline or remove a sponsorship that isn’t a good fit or could mislead readers — if I do, I’ll refund any paid-for time.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your advert and any claims made in it.

Your card appears once, at the top of the page and above the fold — the same position on every eligible page in your category (or the homepage, for Principal Sponsor).
A handful of pure utility pages — contact, about, and privacy — carry no adverts. Otherwise, your card appears on every page in your category, subject to availability.

The site is new and growing. I’m happy to share current visitor numbers on request, but I can’t guarantee any level of traffic, clicks or enquiries.

Sponsorship never influences the data or the editorial content of the site. Adverts are always clearly labelled as sponsored.

I may update these terms from time to time; the current version always lives on this page. Any change won’t affect your founding-rate lock or your current paid month.
