Heritage in Cheltenham

Cheltenham’s Regency-era terraces, squares and villas make it one of England’s most complete Georgian and Regency townscapes, and that’s reflected in the 1151 entries on Historic England’s National Heritage List for England covering the town. Listings range from Grade I buildings of exceptional national importance — chiefly the town’s grand terraces and churches — through Grade II* buildings of particular interest, to the much larger number of Grade II buildings of special interest that make up most of the town’s historic housing stock.
