Join a Sports Club in Cheltenham
Whether you want to race, keep fit or simply find a friendly group to train with, Cheltenham has a club for it. Some are among the oldest in the country: Cheltenham Archers date back to 1857, Cheltenham Rugby Club to 1889, Cheltenham & County Harriers to 1880 and Cheltenham North Rugby Club to 1905. Most welcome beginners and have junior sections, and many offer a free taster session before you commit to membership.

The town's long-established athletics and running club, founded in 1880, training from Prince of Wales Stadium.

An inclusive running and walking club for all abilities, from Couch to 5k up to sub-18-minute 5k runners.

Cheltenham Cricket Club
Based at The Victoria Ground in Fairview, the club has a rich history and an ambitious vision for the future. It fields four senior men's teams, three women's teams, and a junior set-up for boys and girls aged 4 to 19.

Founded in 1857 and a member of Archery GB, the club offers beginners' courses, memberships and several annual tournaments.

Cheltenham Boxing Academy

Cheltenham Croquet Club
One of the largest and oldest croquet clubs in Britain, with 10 full-size lawns, and a member of the South West Federation of Croquet Clubs and Croquet England.

Cheltenham Triathlon Club
A club for experienced and aspiring triathletes, with regular coached swim and run sessions and an uncoached Sunday morning bike ride. It is an adult club, and places can be limited by swim capacity. The club also runs Tri in the Park, a family-friendly super-sprint triathlon in Pittville Park.

A road, mountain bike and gravel club with around 300 members, running its own road race, time trial series, hill climb series and cyclocross races.
Cheltenham Cycling Touring Club (CTC)
A friendly, relaxed club affiliated to Cycling UK, with group rides across the week for all riders.
