Cheltenham Open Data has published a road collisions page, using the Department for Transport’s road safety data, which is built from police reports.
Between 2021 and 2025 the police recorded 674 injury collisions in Cheltenham, with 774 casualties. The page breaks them down by severity, year, road user, vehicle, time of day, type of road, speed limit and the numbered roads with the most collisions. A map and a sortable table show the 193 collisions in which someone was killed or seriously injured, with the date, road, road users and vehicles involved.
The figures count collisions rather than how risky a road is for each journey, and they only include collisions reported to the police. The page links to the cycle routes map and to Fix My Street for reporting road defects, and sits under Safety & Environment.
