Two new charts show the median sale price for each year since 1995, overall and split by detached, semi-detached, terraced and flat or maisonette, and the number of sales each year. A table below lists the sales, median and mean price for every year. The figures are not adjusted for inflation, and the current year is shown as a part year.
The year-by-year sales pages are unchanged and still cover 2023 onwards, so there is no separate page for each earlier year.

- HM Land Registry’s Price Paid Data, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. It covers sales in the GL50 to GL54 postcode districts with a Cheltenham town address, the same area as the rest of the page.
How Often Is It Updated?
- The years up to 2022 are fixed and only need calculating once. Later years update with the rest of the page as new sales are recorded, so the current year fills in over time.
Why Are the Latest Months Missing?
- Recent sales can take two to three months to appear in the Land Registry data, so the current year is always a part year.
