A profile of every Cheltenham ward, and borough election results and councillors by ward.
Cheltenham Open Data has published a profile for every ward in Cheltenham, and a new guide to local elections and councillors.
The wards page maps all 20 wards, shaded by house prices, and compares them on crime, house prices, broadband, registered voters, turnout and councillors. Each ward then has its own page with crime broken down by type, house prices back to 1995, its councillors and election results, and the nearest GPs, dentists, opticians, schools, parks, play areas and public toilets.
The local elections page lists all 40 borough councillors, shows which party holds each ward on a map, and sets out every borough election result since 2024, ward by ward.

What Does a Ward Profile Show?
- Crime reports by type, house prices by year and property type, broadband coverage, the ward’s councillors and election results, and the nearest GPs, pharmacies, dentists, opticians, schools, parks, play areas, toilets and more, all on a map.
Where Does the Ward Data Come From?
- Crime is from data.police.uk, house prices from HM Land Registry, broadband from Ofcom and ward boundaries from the ONS. Election results and councillors come straight from Cheltenham Borough Council.
Why Do Some Wards Show More Crime?
- The figures are counts of crimes reported, not rates, and the wards that include the town centre have many more visitors, shops and licensed premises than residential ones.
How Often Are the Councillors Elected?
- Cheltenham Borough Council is elected by halves, so one seat in each ward is contested every two years. All 40 seats were contested in 2024 after the ward boundaries were redrawn.
How Often Is the Ward Data Updated?
- The election and councillor data is refreshed monthly. Ward profiles are rebuilt from the rest of the site’s data whenever it is refreshed.
