Our new parks and green spaces map draws every public park, garden, playing field, allotment, cemetery and churchyard in Cheltenham to its real outline.

Ordnance Survey records 214 of them in the borough, covering 366 hectares, or 7.9% of its land. Pittville is the greenest ward: Pittville Park, the Approach Golf Course and Midwinter Allotments help make green space 29.8% of the ward. Each site is listed with its size, its ward and how many ways in it has.

Every ward page now shows how much of the ward is green space, and its list of nearby parks and open spaces has been rebuilt from the same map, with names and sizes in place of council property addresses.

FAQs

What Does the Green Spaces Page Show?

Is There Anything for My Ward?

Where Does the Data Come From?

How Often Is It Updated?
